Training

John Schmitt's daughter was in this mission, and so he came and played a song at transfers, it was pretty cool I guess...
1. my new companion Elder Hawkins he is from Kaysville Utah
My boy, he is a little tired....

 2. Training is going good, I was pretty stressed out almost all week for several reasons, but today is p-day so all is well!!! haha! Most of my stress came from my lack of confidence in my Spanish, because now I have to teach almost all of the lessons, but the Lord helped me out a lot!!! I was pleasantly surprised how well I could communicate! I still have a lot of work to do before I'm "Fluent" but I'm getting there!!!

3. Like I said my week was pretty tough! We worked hard, and I was just a little stressed because I'm training and everything!

selfie........
4. Ya so next week I won't be able to email until Saturday and from then on out we'll be having p-day on Saturday! That week is going to be tough..... But having p-day on Saturday is going to be a pretty rad experience I feel!!

We found a lot of new people this week! I hope some of them go somewhere!! we went tracting a bunch because a bunch of appointments fell through!!

I thought this video was really well done! In it we see three different types of people.

1. Like her husband, we can run or give up right when he was given a chance to serve.

2. Like the men who took it as a burden, we can take on service and get nothing out of it because we try to get through serving others by getting in and then out as fast as we can so that we can go back to our normal lifes.

3. Like the men who enjoyed it, we can go into serving someone else with the love of God and in the end these are the men who get the most out of it! Service offers so many blessings including the healing and growth of our own souls "because that is what service does, it heals!"

I LOVE YOU GUYS A BUNCH!!!

I'm doing pretty great!!! This week has been a good one!!
So some good and bad news. I'm staying in Auburn!! But Elder Rivera isn't.... but I'm going to be dad!!!!!! I'm going to be a trainer, for hopefully the next couple of transfers!!! I'm super excited because I've wanted to train, but I'm pretty nervous too because my Spanish could still use some work.... God will help me!!!! He's pretty great!

Some more good news!! You know that lady named Flora that came to church a while ago? We put her on date to be baptized for September 19!!!! Super excited for her!!! I hope all goes well and we get her dunked!! haha!! I'm pretty pumped!!!

Anyways that's about all for now I love you guys!!! #StaySweet!

Last district meeting this transfer!

Elder Rivera is a super good cook, so we made some dinner for some members,
 the Lewis family!!

Thanks for the gummies, but they kinda got melted....haha

I had a Slurpee the other day, and you know how I have that weird allergy to the cold........

My week was actually pretty great! A family came to church who we didn't think would come to church, and who haven't come to church the whole time I've been here! They are a Korean family and we teach them with a member in the ward who knows how to speak Korean! So that was pretty great! we also found this way sweet trailer park in the middle of the of the woods full of Hispanics! With the help from some pretty drunk guys! haha! So we were tracting in a trailer park where we thought there were a lot of Hispanics, but we were wrong... anyways we knock this one house and these drunk guys answered the door and got scared because they didn't hear us knock, they just opened the door because they were about leave and so when they opened the door they got freaked out and started yelling because they didn't expect some guys in white shirts and ties to be standing there! haha! Anyways after they calmed down we asked them if they knew where any Hispanics lived and one of them started to try explaining where this trailer park was, but he gave up and said "Just follow us" so we got in our car and started following them to this trailer park. The drive was pretty sketchy because they were swerving all over the road.... but we made it safely!

Elder Rivera and Gerber, oh another fun thing, we took Gerber to a ward activity where we played kick ball and ultimate Frisbee!!! Super fun!!

Auburn is getting pretty crowded because all the students are coming back! But I'm still loving it here! I find out if one of us is leaving this Saturday, and I honestly don't have a clue what is going to happen!!!!

Our plans for to day are to go to that state park again, the Zone Leaders are coming up and so are some other elders so it's going to be a blast!!! I'm excited!!

Well I sure do love you guys!! Stay Sweet and Shoot For the Sun!

Service

Gringisimo, as the Hispanics call me! haha!

and some more of Auburn
Hey!!
So not the best week, but still a good one! My companion wasn't feeling to hot this week and there were a lot of people moving and all of them needed our help!! There are also a lot of new people coming in because it is a college town and school is about to start so there are a lot of new faces at church! Also with school starting I feel like this town has doubled in traffic! haha there are so much more people here now than there was when I first got here! Everyone is getting super pumped for football season! Oh by the way, if I stay here another transfer (I hope so!) our p-day will change to Saturdays, beginning with the first Auburn home game! GO WAR EAGLES!! haha
Service!!!!!!!!!!!

We had to say goodbye to one of the coolest families in the ward!! #LosSpencers!!!
Anyways, because we served so many people this week I guess I should give a little thought on services! WHEN YOUR STRESSED PUT SERVIES TO THE TEST! Has a nice little ring to it!  But for reals when your stressed or angry or sad or what ever, just forget yourself and serve someone! It really helps the nerves a lot, no joke! #LeadLoveServeSave!

I love you guys and hope all is awesome!!
